A calm prayer for an anxious morning

Morning Prayer for Anxiety

Begin an anxious morning with the Sign of the Cross and offer this day to the Father through Jesus Christ. This Catholic prayer makes room for your real worries without treating prayer as a cure or delaying professional support when you need it.

Scripture

Paul calls the community to let Christ’s peace shape its common life and to give thanks.

Pray slowly

Morning Prayer for Anxiety

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Father, let Your peace rule my mind this morning. Slow the thoughts that are racing ahead and help me receive this day as it comes.

Guard me from hurry, steady my breathing, and remind me that I am not facing today alone. Give me wisdom for the next decision and grace for what I cannot control.

Let my words and choices grow from trust instead of fear. Keep my attention near You. In Jesus' name, amen.

A practice for today

Carry the prayer into your next choice.

Make the Sign of the Cross, name one worry before God and choose a small next step. You may add the Our Father; persistent or severe anxiety deserves appropriate professional support.

Pray before the scroll

Turn this pause into a daily rhythm.

Pray Shield places Scripture and a short prayer between the impulse to open a distracting app and the choice that follows.
