Chrome extension privacy

Pray Shield for Chrome is designed to work locally in your Chrome profile.

Data stored locally

The extension stores language, theme, schedule, chosen domains, and focus/pause preferences in chrome.storage.local until reset or uninstall. Prayed/skipped completion timestamps are stored locally and pruned after 45 days.

What does not happen

There is no server upload, analytics, tracking, advertising, account, payment, remote code, or sync with iOS or phones. Page content is not read. The return URL remains in the pause fragment and browser history; it is not sent to a server.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and Limited Use

This extension processes data only on-device to provide its visible prayer and focus features. It does not transmit, sell, or share user data, and does not use it for advertising or any purpose unrelated to those features; this follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy and its Limited Use requirements.

Permissions and notifications

A host permission is requested only after you select a domain and confirm it. Optional Chrome notifications are used only if you explicitly enable and allow them. User-clicked website and App Store links may carry attribution and are governed by the linked site's own privacy policy.
